New Delhi: Team India will face South Africa in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. Both teams are unbeaten in the tournament and will look to give each other tough competition in the big match.
India’s only concern going into the final is the form of Virat Kohli. The star Indian batter has only managed to score 75 runs in the matches 7 matches at an average of 10.71. Despite Kohli’s poor form, Chris Gayle backed his RCB teammate and said these things happen to big players and he dominated in the previous World Cups.
“These things happen to superstars or world-class players such as Virat. We know how dominant he has been in previous World Cups. A bad patch, it can happen to anybody. But the good thing about it” Chris Gayle said in the press conference.
He also said that big players step up in the big game and you cannot write off Kohli in the final. “He is in the final, and sometimes big players can be called upon and step up and win the actual game for the team as well. So you cannot write off a player like Virat Kohli without a doubt. We know how special he is, so we just have to wait and see what he delivers tomorrow” he added.
