New Delhi: Dana White is the President and CEO of the biggest MMA promotion in the world Ultimate Fighting Club (UFC). Dana bought UFC in January 2021 for just two million dollars and now the company’s valuation is more than four billion dollars.
There was a constant rumor that UFC was finding Dana’s successor and he might leave the company anytime soon. But the President denied all the rumors and announced that he would never retire from the UFC ever.
“I will keep dogging this out until the day I drop dead” Dana added.
Dana had a great opportunity in 2016 when Endeavor gave 4 billion dollars to bought UFC but he didn’t ran away because of a larger vision to take UFC on a global stage.
Under The President, Saudi Arabia became a hub for combat sports as no fighter was going to the Middle Eastern countries but UFC made a gateway and started organising their events in Middle Eastern countries. Now Boxing, MMA, and WWE all types of combat sports events are organising in the Middle Eastern region.
“No matter what walk of life you’re in, once you get to a certain level of success, you have to be a certain type of person to stay hungry and get out and fight every day. When we sold in 2016, 99 percent of the people said that I was going to retire and walk away. I’m not wired like that” White stated after retirement rumors.
Dana made MMA a recognition sport globally and now UFC is competing with bigger promotions like NBA, Premier League, and many more. Many big superstars and icons attend UFC events live regularly.
USA President Donald Trump is also fond of UFC and he gave support to Dana when no one trusted Dana’s vision on combat sports to grow globally.
The CEO keeps adding young talents to UFC roaster and also gives opportunities to fighters with his tournaments like Dana White’s contender series, Road to UFC and more.
