High FD interest rate: Shriram Finance offers over 9% on Fixed Deposit

New Delhi: Opening a Fixed Deposit (FD) can offer you guaranteed returns. Under FD, you lock in interest rate for the said tenure. It means that even if the interest rate changes, you will earn the interest at the same period during FD Tenure. While many banks offer inflation-beating interest rates, NBFCs offer higher interest rates on FD as compared to banks to increase their customer base. Shriram Finance NBFC offers more than 9 per cent interest rate on their FDs.

On different tenures Shriram Finance NBFC is offering different interest rate

For a period of 12 months, the FD interest rate is 7.85% per annum.
The FD interest rate is 8.15% per annum for a 15-month period.
For an 18-month duration, the FD interest rate stands at 8.00% per annum.
Over a 24-month term, the FD interest rate is 8.15% per annum.
The FD interest rate for a 30-month period is 8.35% per annum.
For a 36-month period, the FD interest rate is 8.70% per annum.
The FD interest rate is 8.75% per annum over a 42-month period.
An interest rate of 8.80% per annum is being offered on FD maturing in 50 months
For a period of 60 months, the FD interest rate is 8.80% per annum.

Shriram Finance FD: 9.40% interest rate

The NBFC is offering interest rates of up to 9.40 per cent per annum on select Fixed Deposit plan. However, the total return rate includes, 0.50 per cent p.a. is for Senior Citizens and 0.10 per cent p.a. for women. So on the regular FDs, Senior citizens (aged 60 years or older at the time of deposit/renewal) will receive an additional interest of 0.50% per annum on the standard rate. Women depositors will receive an additional interest of 0.10% per annum. If you wish to renew your matured FD, then An additional interest of 0.25% per annum will be provided on all renewals.
