Pakistan endured a dismal campaign in the tournament as they were eliminated from the group stage. The back-to-back defeats sent them crashing from the tournament. As the criticism continues over their poor show in the T20 World Cup 2024, a video of Pakistan batters Mohammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed struggling against a net bowler during practice has gone viral on social media. In the video, Rizwan and Iftikhar can be seen being beaten comfortably by the raw pace of the young fast bowler.
The video of the Pakistan batters finding it difficult to face the youngster has created ripples on the internet, inviting criticism for the duo. Several Pakistan fans lashed out at both Rizwan and Iftikhar after the video went viral on social media. The net bowler in the video of Nouman Khan Khaira, who is not quite popular outside the domestic circuit.

Both Rizwan and Iftikhar failed to deliver for Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024 and endured poor campaigns. Rizwan, who opened the innings with skipper Babar, could only manage 110 runs in 4 matches while Iftikhar scored 23 runs in two matches. Rizwan scored 31 runs in the high-pressure clash against India where Pakistan failed to chase down a target of 120 runs in 20 overs.
Will there be a major revamp in Pakistan cricket?
As per reports, PCB was planning a major overhaul in the Pakistan cricket team post their debacle in the T20 World Cup 2024. However, no significant action has been taken yet. There were also reports stating that Babar’s position as captain was under threat and he might be sacked once again. However, an official decision has not been made yet on Babar’s future as Pakistan captain.
Pakistan will return to action when they take on Bangladesh in a two-match Test series at home next month.
