New Delhi: India Women stalwart Smriti Mandhana and his composer-boyfriend Palaash Muchhal recently celebrated their five years of togetherness, finally making their long-time rumoured relationship public. The couple cut a cake and posed for a few pictures which were shared by Palaash on his Instagram handle with the caption simply reading “#5”, marking the years of being together with the ace Indian batter.
Palaash is a music composer by profession and works in the B-town music industry. He is the brother of notable female singer Palak Muchhal. He was long rumoured to be dating the India Women opener as the couple was spotted together quite a few times. Palaash was also present with Smriti when she lifted the WPL 2024 trophy as RCB skipper, the pic of which went viral as well, adding fuel to the fire.
All the rumours shall now lay to rest as the couple has come out to make it all official. The post has already received close to 4 lakh likes and almost 1000 comments as fans and notable TV personalities are pouring wishes for the couple. TV fames such as Rubina Dilaik, Avika Gor, and Rashami Desai reacted to the post with heart emojis and so did actor Parth Samthaan. Even Smriti commented with three heart emojis and Palak commented, “My cuties!”

Smriti in South Africa tour of India
The explosive left-handed batter currently plays against South Africa who are on India tour which started from June 16 with the 1st of the three ODIs. Smriti seems to be having the time of her career as she struck a 117 in the opening game which India won and continued her batting prowess in the 2nd ODI with a 136-run knock as India managed a narrow four-run win. She played a crucial part by scoring 90 runs in the final ODI as India swept the series 3-0.
The tour shifted to the one-off Test and Smriti entered historybooks by smashing 149 runs in the first Indian innings, partnering with fellow opener Shafali Verma (205) for 292 runs for the opening wicket, the highest-ever in women’s Test cricket history. India registered an easy 10-wicket win. In the 1st T20I, Smriti scored 46 as India lost by 12 runs, and the second T20I was washed out due to persistent rain. The third and final game is scheduled for July 9 in Chennai.
