Hyderabad: Ex-minister and Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender said that more BRS MLAs are poised to join the Congress party over the next few days with at least six MLAs joining on Saturday.
Speaking to the media, he said that BRS Legislative Party will be merged with Congress in the Legislative Assembly. “Six or so MLAs will join tomorrow and over the next 15 days, it will be merged for sure. Only three or four MLAs will stay with BRS. No one with self respect will stay there.
Addressing KTR’s remarks about TDP, he said, “TDP had a good leader who could guide them. TDP leadership accords importance and respect to their MLAs. Do you give importance to MLAs here? There’s a lot of groupism in BRS. They say they will bring anti-defection law against me. Do it and I will deal with it in court.”
This comes in the view of several defections from BRS to Congress over the last few weeks and months. At least six BRS MLAs have joined the Congress party while Rajya Sabha MP K Keshava Rao resigned from his BRS RS membership after joining Congress.
Danam Nagender, who is an MLA from Khairatabad, quit the BRS before Lok Sabha elections and joined the Congress and was the party’s candidate from Secunderabad Lok Sabha constituency. He lost to incumbent MP G Kishan Reddy. Telangana States News India: Top News India, States News, States News Headlines, Online State News India, State Politics news
