New Delhi: Indian all-rounder Shivam Dube faced a lot of criticism for his performance in the T20 World Cup 2024. He only managed to score 133 runs in 8 matches at a strike rate of 114.65.
Despite failing to score runs captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid constantly backed Dube. The all-rounder scored a crucial 27 runs off 16 balls in the final. Dube came to bat when India was in trouble and stitched a crucial 57-run partnership with Kohli.
He said that the World Cup journey taught him a lot and the final was a crucial moment. He also said that the T20 World Cup was a learning experience for him.

Despite his struggles with the bat, he remained in the playing XI throughout the tournament. He also thanked skipper Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid for their unwavering support. He said that it was a test of his mental strength and captain and the coach constantly backed him.
“It was both challenging and motivating. It was a test of my mental strength and perseverance. The unwavering support from our captain and coach was incredible. They constantly backed me, encouraging me to stay positive and keep working hard. Their faith in my abilities and their guidance helped me stay focused and believe in myself” said Dube.
Dube also said that the T20 World Cup experience made him stronger and more determined to improve his game “This experience has made me stronger and more determined to improve and contribute to the team’s success in the future” he added.
