The two airlines have urged passengers to track flight status before heading towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai.

Budget carrier IndiGo in a social media post on X said there were ongoing rains and air traffic congestion in Mumbai, which is impacting flights. The airline requested passengers to stay updated on their flight status at an official link. The airline added that passengers may reach out to its on-ground team for immediate assistance.

Tata Group-owned Air India stated that flights at Mumbai International Airport may be affected by the ongoing heavy rains. The airline suggested that passengers should start early at the airport to beat the slow traffic and waterlogging, which may cause delays.
