How much mutton does Mohammed Shami consume daily? Diet of star bowler will leave you amazed

New Delhi: Star India pacer Mohammed Shami, who has been out of action since the ODI World Cup 2023, is expected to make a comeback soon in the Indian team. After having a surgery on his injured ankle in February, Shami has since been on the road to recovery and is now looking fit to make a comeback in another month or so.

While the leading wicket-taker of the ODI World Cup has been posting videos and photos of his practice sessions and gym workout, his friend Umesh Kumar on a Youtube podcast has revealed the secret for his fitness and energy. Umesh has opened up on the pacer’s dier and spilled the beans on his love for non-vegetarian food, especially mutton.

How much mutton does Shami consume?

It has been revealed that the star India pacer can bear everything and anything but cannot survive without mutton. Shami’s friend has said that he needs at least 1 kg mutton daily and if he doesn’t do so, his bowling speed will be reduced by upto 15 kmph. Umesh revealed the same on Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel.

Meanwhile, India chief selector Ajit Agarkar recently hoped that Shami will be able to recover in time for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh, starting September 19. Keeping his progress in view and the kind of speed with which he is showing improvements, this does not look far-fetched.

“We more or less know who the guys are, there are some injuries at the moment and hope they will be back. Shami has started to bowl, which is a good sign. September 19 is the first Test against Bangladesh and that was always the goal. I don’t know if that is his timeline for recovery, will have to ask the guys at the NCA about that,” Agarkar said in the press conference.

Mohammed Shami’s friend Umesh Kumar has disclosed the star Indian pacer’s love for mutton in a recent YouTube podcast.  Cricket Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
