New Delhi: India opener Smriti Mandhana went up to the fourth spot while pacer Renuka Singh Thakur was placed fifth in the ICC T20I rankings that was released on Tuesday.
Vice-captain Mandhana scored 60 runs in India’s loss to Sri Lanka in the women’s T20 Asia Cup final to jump up a spot to fourth with 743 rating points.
Seven wickets in the tournament helped Renuka rose four slots to be fifth with 722 rating points. England’s Sophie Ecclestone (772) and Sarah Glenn (760) occupy the first two spots respectively.
While Renuka’s team-mate Deepti Sharma (755) is at the third place, ahead of Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal (743). With six wickets, Radha Yadav climbed seven slots to reached 13th.
Australia’s Beth Mooney (769) and Tahlia McGrath (762) retained the top two spots in the batting list. West Indies’ Hayley Matthews (746) is third while South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt is sixth.
Sri Lanka skipper Chamari Athapaththu gained three spots to be sixth with 705 points after her match-winning 61-run knock in Asia Cup final vs India.
“Inspirational Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu also reached new heights as she moved up three places to sixth on the same list to bring up a career-best rating following her Player of the Tournament heroics at the Asia Cup that included a whopping 304 runs at an average north of 100,” the ICC said on its website.
Pakistan’s Muneeba Ali is up six slots to 35th among batters while Bangladesh skipper Nigar Sultana soared three positions to be at the 14th place.
Sri Lanka’s Harshitha Samarawickrama is 20th after becoming the top-scorer in the Asia Cup final with an unbeaten 69 in the final.
