Mumbai: On the sixth day of FDCI x India Couture Week 2024 on Tuesday, July 29, Jayanti Reddy unveiled her exquisite designs, with Bollywood actress Aditi Rao Hydari making a grand appearance as the showstopper. Aditi once again channelled her regal presence as she graced the runway for Reddy’s collection, ‘Evocative Nawabi Canvas,’ at the Taj Palace Hotel. The collection featured a diverse range of Indian attire, including saris, suits, lehengas, kurtas, and sherwanis.

Aditi dazzled in a modern gold sharara set, which featured a long-sleeved blouse with a deep neckline and pleated detailing, paired with palazzo-style flared trousers. The contemporary ensemble, almost reminiscent of a pantsuit, highlighted her graceful walk down the ramp.
Her look was completed with an oversized choker necklace and a prominent pendant. Aditi’s beauty was enhanced with sleek, straightened dark hair, bronzed cheeks, muted eyes, and a deep wine-toned lip.

Jayanti Reddy’s collection, as noted by FDCI on Instagram, pays homage to India’s regal heritage. Her designs incorporate antique motifs and heritage textiles, reflecting the opulence of the Nizami era. The patterns predominantly consisted of delicate floral motifs and heavy zardozi embroidery adorned with beads and pearls. Reddy’s creations utilised materials like silk, organza, and nets, and came in shades ranging from light green to magenta, red, golden, blue, pink, and yellow, with some pieces incorporating multiple colours. The collection showcases intricate traditional embroideries that capture the essence of Hyderabad’s royal past, blending the old with the new in a vibrant display of colour and culture.
Jayanti Reddy’s collection showcased more than 40 designs featuring heritage textiles, antique motifs, traditional embroidery, and opulent fabrics.
Reddy’s pieces are known for their meticulous craftsmanship, featuring zardozi embroidery, gotta, and beads to add a touch of drama. Her work elegantly merges historical influences with contemporary style, appealing to traditional and modern sensibilities.
