Air India Offers Flexibility Amid Unrest in Bangladesh

Air India has announced adjustments to its flight schedule and policies in response to the ongoing violent unrest in Bangladesh. The airline confirmed that it will operate its evening flights AI237/238 on the Delhi-Dhaka-Delhi route on August 6, 2024.

Recognizing the turbulent situation in Dhaka, Air India is providing a one-time waiver for customers who wish to reschedule their flights. This offer applies to those with confirmed bookings on any Air India flight to and from Dhaka between August 4 and August 7, 2024. The tickets must have been booked on or before August 5. In their statement, Air India emphasized, “The safety of our customers and crew remains top priority.”

For further assistance, customers are encouraged to contact Air India’s Call Centre at 011 69329333 or 011 69329999, or visit their website at airindia.com.

This announcement comes amid escalating violence in Bangladesh, which recently peaked as protesters forced Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to resign and flee the country. Currently, reports are emerging that suggest Hindus are being targeted in the country. The Indian government has stated that it is monitoring the situation closely.
