New Delhi: Barcelona has added Dani Olmo, an offensive midfielder, to its roster on a permanent basis. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Catalans and RB Leipzig have verbally agreed to a deal for the 2024 Euro champion. With an additional €7 million in add-ons, Barça will pay Leipzig a transfer fee of €55 million, bringing the total worth to €62 million—two million euros above Leipzig’s initial asking price.
The last obstacle to overcome was to come to an agreement with Leipzig, as Olmo and Barça had already agreed to a deal that would extend until 2030 last week. Now that the aim has been attained, sporting director Deco will soon make an official statement. After a ten-year absence from Camp Nou, Dani Olmo is due to make his comeback.

He started off as a promising prospect for La Masia and later joined Dinamo Zagreb before moving back to Leipzig, where he developed into a world-class player and was instrumental in Spain’s push for the Euro 2024 championship. The Spaniard also had a wonderful Euro campaign that earned him this move to Catalunya.
The 26 year old attacking midfielder had five goal contributions throughout the season and turned up for his national side at bigger stages. Olmo scored three goals while also providing two assists for Spain, scoring on big occasions for La Roja including a goal and an assist in the quarter finals against Germany, a match that many considered to be an early decider.
With Barca still chasing Nico Williams as their main summer target, Olmo’s move was surely going under the radar as the offensive midfielder can be a major asset for Hansi Flick’s side.
Verbal agreements have been reached as Dani Olmo looks set to join FC Barcelona from the Bundesliga side RB Leipzig. Football Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
