New Delhi: A strong earthquake measuring 7.1 struck southern Japan on Thursday which triggered a tsunami warning of waves as high as 1 meter. According to the latest updates from the US Geological Survey (USGS), the epicentre of the tremor was located 20 kilometres northeast of Nichinan, at a depth of 25 kilometres.
