New Delhi: A massive fire engulfed a row of stores including Dunkin’ Donuts in the Bronx, New York on Thursday. While the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, firefighters managed to bring the situation under control within a few hours.
Reports claimed that the fire initially erupted at a Dunkin’ Donuts and later spread to adjacent businesses. According to officials, the fire broke out around 5 AM while people were opening the coffee shop located on Third Avenue between East 155th and 156th streets in the Melrose section.
Dozens of firefighters battled the flames for hours before finally dousing the blaze. Some firefighters stayed on the scene to manage hot spots, and nearby streets were closed to traffic as smoke filled the area.
Three firefighters were hospitalized with minor injuries.
