New Delhi: India Khelo Football (IKF) returns to unearth more talent in its fourth season.
The IKF is a non-profit organisation dedicated to creating a structured career path for players aspiring to pursue football professionally and aims to bring grassroot level football and the ISL clubs on the same platform.
The organisation is conducting trials across 50 cities in India and the UAE, aiming to democratise access to professional football opportunities. In the third season, 10,000 participants with 81 players scouted by I-Leagues and Indian Super League clubs.
Players will be scouted from events where IKF is scouting partners. They will be assessed and filtered, and after trials, city winners will attend the pre-finals.
Players will then play in front of national scouts and international partners, where they have a chance to start their careers in top clubs. At the completion of the competition, participants will also get assessment reports from experts.
In season four, like always, IKF trials will scout for exceptional talents who will be given a platform to reach the top Indian clubs and academies.
ISL clubs, including Kerala Blasters, Mumbai City, Chennai FC and FC Goa, have been part of the IKF season three trials. The scouts will send players to the clubs.
This will generate interest from the club, which will be hosted once a year in the national Finals to showcase the topmost talents from India.
Technical assessments will be conducted by Premier League academy scouts and agents with 100% Scholarship to talented players to reach international academies.
The academies and clubs include Betim from Brazil, Academia Naranja created in Barcelona and Coimbra Academic Association from Portugal.
Deserving participants of the program will also be able to showcase their talent to more than 20 US universities and democratise the athlete pathway in India.
The football teams include Brevard College Tornados Mmen’s football team, Fullerton College and Knox College Prairie Fire college teams.
The students will attend an assessment camp. They will either be scouted by PTSA certified scouts or qualify for showcase events.
IKF will scout for young talents across 50 cities and villages in India to bring them in notice of big clubs and academies across world. Football Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
