‘Not Mumbai Indians’: Virat Kohli reveals his favourite IPL rival team

New Delhi: Senior Indian batter Virat Kohli has named his favourite rival team in the Indian Premier League. On Sunday, Kohli completed 16 years in international cricket after making his One-Day International debut against Sri Lanka in Dambulla in 2008.

Broadcaster Star Sports caught up with the star Indian player to celebrate his international cricket anniversary. In a special segment with the broadcaster, Kohli was asked 16 questions in a rapid-fire round. One of the interesting questions was which was his favourite IPL rival. The 35-year-old was presented with two options in Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians (MI).

Kohli, who is the only player to play for a single franchise (Royal Challengers Bengaluru) in the last 17 seasons, went with three-time IPL winners KKR, who are also the reigning champions.

Among the other questions, the former India and RCB captain was asked about his favourite shot (cover drive), favourite venue (Chinnaswamy Stadium), funny cricketer (Chris Gayle), favourite singer (Arijit Singh), and favourite childhood show (Full House).

Kohli is currently on a break from cricket action and having some quality time in London, the same destination where he spent time with his family before the Sri Lanka ODI series. He had an underwhelming show with the bat in Sri Lanka, scoring 24, 14, and 20 in the three matches as India lost the series 0-2.
