Tonga: A strong earthquake of magnitude of 6.7 magnitude hit the Tonga Islands on August 26, According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
The agency further stated that the tremors were felt at around 4:59 am IST. The epicentre of the earthquake was located at 19.74 South and longitude 174.26 West and at a depth of 120 kilometres

There have been no reports of damage, injuries or casualties so far.
