New Delhi: Kylian Mbappe’s X, formerly known as Twitter, account got hacked in the early hours of Thursday, 29th August, as Real Madrid’s Forward’s account posted controversial remarks on fellow footballers Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Hackers further put comments on the Israel-Palestine conflict through the French captain’s X handle.
Netizens were quick to observe the account’s questionable activity. The account promoted a cryptocurrency called ‘$MBAPPE’ and claimed that it had reached 90,000 sales. It also teased a Manchester United transfer and praised a popular Man United fan account before discussing the rivalry between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The tweets, though, have now been deleted, but they have sparked a debate in the football community. Many fans commented that his PR team should have taken more swift action to control the situation as the tweets became more controversial.
How is Mbappe’s dream fairing at Madrid?
The 26-year-old has been playing this season for his dream club, Real Madrid, and made a dream debut for the side in the UEFA Super Cup against Atlanta, where he scored his first goal for the club in the 68th minute. He has yet to score in La Liga and was recently in action during Madrid’s 3-0 win over Valladolid, though Mbappe failed to get a goal to his name.
The Frenchman has come into a side full of superstars, including Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Jude Bellingham and Fede Valverde. Mbappe summer singing by Madrid was hailed by many as the best move for the club as they look to become a more invincible side.
However, since his game against Atlanta, Mbappe hasn’t been in the best form as he is adjusting to living in Spain, though manager Carlo Ancelotti has maintained he isn’t too worried about this. Ancelotti has maintained that Mbappe will eventually find a firm ground to perform well. As Real Madrid take on Las Palmas, he will hope his finishing will improve as Los Blancos look to claim the top spot in the La Liga points table.
