New Delhi: Young cricketer Arjun Tendulkar has become a protege of Yograj Singh, the father of Yuvraj Singh, who has been training him for the last couple of years. He has transformed Arjun into a professional cricketer but the Indian cricket fans are demanding Arjun to distance himself from Yograj who recently lashed out at ex-India skipper and all-time greats MS Dhoni and Kapil Dev.
Yograj has always been critical of Dhoni and Kapil, blaming Dhoni for ruining his son Yuvraj’s career and cursing Kapil for having just one World Cup title to his name when compared to Yuvraj. The nasty comments angered a lot of die-hard fans of the two personalities and they are now demanding that Arjun must distance himself as Yograj seems to have the power to influence him and his career.
Arjun and his father, the master blaster, Sachin Tendulkar, became the first father-son duo to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). But the recent badmouthing has led the fans to wonder if Arjun’s career is in safer hands with this kind of mentorship. In the same Zee Switch interview where Yograj spewed venom against the two Indian skippers, he talked about his equation with Arjun.
“Have you seen a diamond in a coal mine? It is nothing but a coal that took years to nurture and shape. If the diamond lands in the right hand, it will eventually reach its destination. It will be priceless. But if the same diamond is with someone who doesn’t understand its value, it will break into pieces,” Hindustan Times quoted Yograj as saying.
Angry fans
The statement didn’t sit well with the fans who thought the negativity and behaviour of Yograj won’t be good for Arjun. A user said, “I came across a while ago that Arjun Tendulkar was training with Yograj Singh? If so, good luck to him,” while another added, “It will be a surprise if Arjun has anything to do with Yograj after this.”
Someone get that guy Yograj away from Arjun Tendulkar ASAP. He’ll ruin the kid’s life with some venomous attitude.

Yograj revealed last year on The Times of India that Yuvraj had called him saying “Sachin paaji” (Tendulkar) would call him regarding his son Arjun and asked him to help him. He also said that he didn’t want to say no to Sachin and turn Yuvraj’s request down, so he took up the coaching for Arjun.
