New Delhi: The season 7 winners Bengal Warriorz have parted ways from their head coach K Baskaran before the season 11 auction. Baskaran coached the Bengal team in the last two seasons and now he is replaced by former assistant coach Prashant Surve. The big news also came from the Bengal camp is that their new assistant coach Praveen Yadav is a coach who was giving free training to kids at the Gurugram Tau Devilal Stadium.
Bengal team retained their core experienced players after the auction, they retained their skipper Maninder Singh in the auction for Rs. 1.15 crores using an FBM card. Some top-class raiders were also brought by Bengal. Arjun Rathi was picked for Rs. 41 lakhs in the auction. Bengal has a powerhouse of raiders who will complement Maninder in the PKL like Vishvas S, Pranay Rane, and Nitin Kumar.
Their best signing for Bengal in this year’s auction was Fazel Atrachali, the top defender in PKL history. Bengal bought him for Rs. 50 lakhs in the auction and will use Fazel’s experience in the defense. Bengal also gets support from Mayur Kadam and Vaibhav Garje in the defense.
