New Delhi: WWE NXT action returned at the Performance Centre in Florida on Tuesday, September 10. The event was aired live from the city of Orlando and the show was packed with some big action and multiple championship matches. Axiom and Nathan Frazer defended their tag-team title against Street Profits at the start of the show.
Oba Femi also defended his NXT North American Title against Alexander Hammerstone while Charlie Dempsey retained the NXT Heritage Cup against Je’Von Evans. The main event featured a match between Trick Williams and Pete Dunne for the NXT men’s title.
Axiom and Nathan Frazer defend NXT Tag Team titles
The action started with Montez and Axiom facing each other in the ring. The Profits double-teamed on Axiom after exchanging some blows. Axiom with Frazer double-teamed on Ford. After Ford became legal he went on the top of the turnbuckle and smashed the Blockbuster. Tama Tonga along with Tonga Loa and Jacob Fatu appeared out of nowhere and laid out The Profits to cause a disqualification.
Trick Williams won another shot at the NXT Championship
The WWE fans witnessed the NXT Men’s Championship Number One contender’s match in the main event of the weekly live event. After the intense action, Trick Williams defeated Pete Dunne in their Last Man Standing match. Ethan Page tried to interfere in the match towards the end but suffered a back body drop through the commentary table for his efforts.
