New Delhi: CM Punk made his return to the ring in Portland, Oregon, at Moda Center on September 17, Tuesday. Punk entered with his car and walked backstage to the ring and then fans started chanting ‘CM Punk’. Punk addressed his comeback in the show that when he came back to WWE after so many years he didn’t come to make friends or mortal enemies but now his feud with Drew McIntyre has been going on for a long time there is only a way to end this rivalry that is through Hell in a Cell match between both the fighters.
Punk made promise that he will make McIntyre bleed and McIntyre has to kill him because Punk is now ready to die in the ring. Punk’s wife and sister told him not to do this but Punk announced that he was ready to die or make McIntyre feel hell in the ring.
The World Tag team championship match was also set up for the fans as The Judgement Day defeated The New Day to retain their tag team titles. Kofi Kingston started things off in the match as he quickly hit JD McDonagh with springboard Hurricanrana and then immediately tagged Xavier Woods. Woods and Kingston started dominating McDonagh and Finn Balor. Woods attacked Balor with a clothesline and then a running forearm into his head.
McDonagh made his comeback by hitting Woods with a powerbomb and then hit a sit-out powerbomb but Woods kicked out the pinfall on two counts. Then Dirty Dom and Liv Morgan entered the arena and distracted New Day, Balor took advantage of that and hit his signature move Cope de Grace on Woods and won the match via pinfall and retained their tag team titles.
