Brazilian prodigy Endrick becomes youngest-ever goalscorer for Real Madrid

New Delhi: Real Madrid’s rising star Endrick, in a thrilling match against Stuttgart, etched his name in the club’s history books. The young prodigy became the youngest goalscorer for Madrid in the UEFA Champions League. Endrick scored on his Champions League debut for Los Blancos as they claimed a 3-1 victory over VfB Stuttgart in their opening fixture.

At 18 years, one month, and 58 days, Endrick broke the record set by Club legend Raul in 1995, who scored at the age of 18 years, three months, and 113 days against Ferencvaros. The Brazilian celebrated the same way as Raul did back in 1995.

The 18-year-old showed commendable self-belief and the quality he possesses to score on his debut in the tournament. Endrick made a long run and had the option to pass either to Kylian Mbappe or Vinicius Junior, but he preferred to take a shot and ended up adding another goal to the tally.

Real Madrid signed the striker this summer from Palmeiras. After coming off the bench against Real Valladolid, he became the youngest player to score in Los Blancos’ La Liga debut. He has yet to start a game, but he has already left his mark in the minutes provided and is providing his worth to Carlo Ancelloti.
