Himesh Reshammiya’s father Vipin Reshammiya, veteran music director, dies at 87

Himesh Reshammiya’s father Vipin Reshammiya, a well-known face in the music industry, died. He was 87. As per media reports, he breathed his last on September 18 at 8:30 pm after battling age-related ailments. He was admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani Hospital. His last rites will be held on Thursday, September 19 in Juhu. Vanita Thapar, a close friend to the Reshammiya family confirmed the news to ETimes and said, ”Yes, he had a breathing problem. Its lead actors Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, as well as its filmmaker Karan Johar, took to their Instagram profiles to share special posts on the day. Karan Rather mentioned the entire cast and crew in his post, it was Ranveer, who shared the off-screen photos and videos. Apart from Ranveer and Alia, the film also featured, Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra and Jaya  Bachchan in supporting roles.

This film is the sequel to the 1977 film ‘Dharamveer’, for which an event has been organised to launch the trailer. Salman Khan attended this trailer launch. Apart from him, actors like Govinda, Jitendra and Boman Irani were also seen at this event. Film producer and actor Jackie Bhagnani was also seen with his wife Rakul Preet Singh at the trailer launch event. Salman Khan was given a grand welcome at this event and he later also met the media.
