New Delhi: The most successful Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) team Patna Pirates will be aching to reclaim their title glory. They were crashed out from the semi-finals in the previous edition of PKL. Pirates completed the first and only three-peat in the PKL between seasons 3 to 5 where they won back-to-back three PKL Championship.
Pirates were one of the busiest teams in the PKL season 11 auction where they added 12 new players to their squad. Pirates have the plenty of depth in every department this season. Their most expensive player in the auction was Shubham Shinde, who cost him Rs. 70 lakhs in the auction.
Pirates has one of the best raiding departments in this season. Their unit could be led by Sudhakar M, who had a tremendous debut season. He made 103 points in raids in season 10, to help Sudhakar Sandeep Kumar will be on his side, who is also a promising talent in the PKL. Their experienced talent Jang Kun Lee also returned to his side after five long years.
Patna has a lot of talent in the defence as their most expensive buy Shinde will take the responsibility of defence on his shoulders. Ankit and Deepak Singh will be chipping in with their experience to help Shinde in the defence department.
Pirates only and big concern will be that they don’t have a like-to-like replacement for their players. Their experience and top players didn’t have a replacement seeing the qualities of the players. They didn’t retain their top raider and defender in the last season, which will definitely haunt them in this upcoming season.
Patna’s less experienced talent will have the most opportunity to rise themselves. Sudhakar displayed the top not class in his debut season but now he will have the best chance to express his talent in season 11. With Sachin is not part of Pirates Sudhakar will have to take responsibility on his own.
The three-time Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) champions will be looking to reclaim their glory once again to end the trophy drought of seven long years. Kabaddi Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
