New Delhi: During the fourth ODI match between England and Australia at the Lord’s, Liam Livingstone unleashed the beast mode showcasing the best of his big-hitting skills in the final over of the first innings. Livingstone smashed an unbeaten knock of 63 runs off just 27 balls, taking England to a mammoth 312 for 5 at the end of the innings.
While his entire knock was a treat to watch, the last over of the innings bowled by Aussie bowler Mitchell Starc took the entire stadium by storm. The veteran English all-rounder stole the limelight as he smashed 28 runs off Starc setting multiple records at the iconic stadium. Livingstone started off the last over with a massive six off the first ball while second ball was a dot.
The third, fourth and the fifth deliveries of the over were smacked for three consecutive sixes and the last ball was smashed for a boundary as he took the hosts past the 300-run mark in style.

Fastest ODI fifty at Lord’s
Off just 25 deliveries, Livingstone completed his half-century and went on to create a record for the fastest ODI half-century at the iconic venue. Apart from Livingstone, knocks from skipper Harry Brook and Ben Duckett saw England dominate the first innings of the contest, after the match was reduced to 39 overs each due to severe rain in London.
Brook smashed 87 runs off just 58 deliveries and unfortunately remained 13 short of a century while Duckett set the base for the English side with an innings of 63 off 62 balls including six boundaries and a lone six. For Australia, Adam Zampa emerged as the top wicket-taker with two wickets, while Mitchell Marsh, Hazlewood and Maxwell claimed a wicket apiece.
