New Delhi: Indian indices closed higher last week with the benchmark Sensex and Nifty closing at new highs. The Sensex hit an intra-day high of 85,978.25 on Friday, while the Nifty touched 26,277.35. All eyes will be on the RBI’s monetary policy meeting on October 7-9, 2024. Here are stocks that are likely to remain in focus on Monday, September 30, 2024:

Airline stocks: Share of IndiGo and SpiceJet may see some movement in response to Air India’s update on the AI Express-AIX Connect merger which is likely to come into effect in the first week of October with AIX Connect flight code I5 set to be retired soon.

Biocon: The biopharma major received 4 observations from the US drug regulator after an inspection carried out at its API facility in Bengaluru.

NHPC India: The company inked a pact with APGENCO for a joint venture to implement renewable energy projects starting with 2 projects totaling 1,800 MW capacity.

NLC India: The company eyes 1 million tonnes per annum output by 2029-30 and plans to participate in upcoming critical mineral resource auctions.

Rice exporters: Shares of rice exporters are likely to witness demand on Monday owing after the Centre removed export duty on basmati rice while imposing a $490 per tonne floor price.

RIL: RIL unit Reliance Retail has inked an agreement with Candytoy to supply edible confectionary toys to 1,400 stores across of the retail giant spread across India.

The government on September 27, 2024, cleared has approved the transfer of licence of RIL media companies to Disney unit Star India.

SBI: The country’s largest lender plans to introduce innovative retail products including one which combines SIP and recurring deposits, according to SBI chairman C S Setty.

Tata Motors: The foundation stone for the company’s Rs 9,000 crore facility for sports cars and SUVs was laid down by Tami Nadu CM M K Stalin over the weekend.

Zydus Lifesciences : The pharma company received the US FDA’s nod to manufacture a generic prostate cancer treatment drug.

REC: The state-owned power project financier raised $500 million via green dollar bonds for multiple renewable energy projects. The bond carried a 5-year note with a 4.75 per cent coupon rate per annum. The fundraise is part of REC’s plan to raise $10 billion over the medium term.

Reliance Infrastructure: The company won a Rs 780 crore arbitration award from the Calcutta High Court in a dispute against the Damodar Valley Corporation, the Anil Ambani group firm said in an exchange filing.
