New Delhi: Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar was among a host of celebrities across the globe celebrating a decade of the Swachh Bharat Mission. Launched in 2014 on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation, the Swachh Bharat has reshaped the outlook of cleanliness in India. The groundbreaking initiative has earned international recognition and fame for its massive impact on community health and well-being.
Tendulkar, the iconic cricketer, has been associated with the Swachh Bharat Mission since its inception in 2014. In a touching video message shared on X (formerly Twitter), Tendulkar explained the importance of the initiative and hailed the countrymen for their active participation in the landmark mission. The former India captain also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his visionary leadership in encouraging the nation to adopt a healthy and clean lifestyle.

Besides Tendulkar, global leaders and prominent figures such as Bill Gates, Ratan Tata and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar also congratulated PM Modi, who celebrated the cleanliness drive by picking up the broom at a school.

Tendulkar off to jungle safari
Meanwhile, Tendulkar was seen leaving the Nagpur Airport with his wife Anjali. Tendulkar, an avid wildlife fan, was en route to Chandrapur, to go on a jungle safari in Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve. The wildlife park is located approximately 30 km north of Chandrapur near the Erai dam.

Tendulkar drove the car himself from the Nagpur Airport and will return to take the flight back home on Thursday.
