The accused woman lived 200 meters away from Kamlesh Rani’s house. During interrogation, it was revealed that due to a little acquaintance, the accused woman had demanded five thousand rupees from Kamlesh Rani a few days ago, but Kamlesh Rani refused.
Kamlesh Rani (65) was murdered at Shibumal Chowk in Khanna on Wednesday night. Police have arrested the accused woman, Shan Abbas, in this case.
SHO of City Thana Ashok Kumar said that the accused woman lived 200 meters away from Kamlesh Rani’s house. During interrogation, it was revealed that due to a little acquaintance, the accused woman had demanded five thousand rupees from Kamlesh Rani a few days ago, but Kamlesh Rani refused.
After this, on Wednesday late evening at around seven o’clock, the accused woman went to Kamlesh Rani’s house. There she talked for about two and a half hours.
When Kamlesh did not give the money, she took out a shard (sharp weapon) kept with her and stabbed it in Kamlesh Rani’s stomach. After this, she attacked her several times.
The woman fell on the ground covered in blood. After committing the murder, the accused woman came out of the house at around 10:30. When Kamlesh Rani’s two sons reached home at around 11 pm, they found their mother lying on the ground covered in blood.
She was not breathing, they immediately called the police. After which the accused woman was arrested by the police shortly after.
It is visible in the CCTV that a masked woman enters Kamlesh Rani’s house at 7:30 pm on Wednesday evening. She goes out after about 2 hours at 9:30 pm. When Kamlesh’s son comes home at around 11 pm, he comes to know about the murder.
