New Delhi: Team India completed a sensational 2-0 series sweep after registering a mammoth win over Bangladesh in the Kanpur Test match recently. The hosts beat the Bangla Tigers by a margin of 7-wickets in just three days, after the second and third day was washed out, to register one of the most memorable wins in Test history for Indian cricket.
Before the second and final Test, the Rohit Sharma-led side thrashed the visiting team by a gigantic margin of 280 runs in the first Test match at Chennai to take a 1-0 lead in the series. By registering dominant wins back-to-back, India sent a loud and clear message to Bangladesh that they were no Pakistan, whom the Bangla Tigers had thrashed in a Test series at home in the month of August.
Prolific batting and bowling from the Indian side led to to a fiery win in Kanpur, eventually becoming not only a memorable win in Indian Test history but also the world Test history. India’s mega triumph in the city was all over social media as millions of fans lauded the side for a remarkable show in the Test match. We at News9 Live decided to conduct a poll across various social media platforms asking: Is the ‘Miracle of Kanpur’, India’s greatest victory in the Test cricket? Here are the poll results.

On X (formerly Twitter), a total of 20 votes were received and the response of the people was measured to be equal. 50% of the X users voted in favour of the poll question saying that this was indeed the greatest Test victory for India while the remaining 50% said no.
On Facebook, users felt a bit differently about India’s win in the Kanpur, as only 37% voted in favour of the poll question and 63% felt that this was no India’s greatest win in the history of Test cricket.
Social media app Instagram proved to akin to X, as response of the people was found out to be in equal proportion. 50% people felt that this was the greatest Test victory for India while remaining 50 felt otherwise.
On instant messaging app WhatsApp, lesser number of people felt that this was the greatest victory while more users felt that it was not. In the poll, 10 people voted yes while 16 people voted no.
