New Delhi: In a landmark move, Sports For All (SFA), one of the biggest grassroots sports development platforms in India, joined the News9 football revolution by tying up with TV9 Network for the “Indian Tigers and Tigresses” campaign.
More than just a regular talent hunt, “Indian Tigers and Tigresses” focuses towards transforming football culture in India by giving opportunities to young boys and girls (age group – 12 to 14 and 15 to 17) across the length and breadth of the country.
In partnership with the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, India Football Centre, IFI, BVB, and RIESPO among others, this landmark football program will identify and engage talented youngsters in the country through a top-class scouting network. The best from the lot will be felicitated in Germany in early 2025.
The one-of-a-kind talent hunt initiative by News9 provides the perfect platform for young football stars to showcase their talent on the big stage. The historic tie-up with SFA has given thousands of young aspirants in Hyderabad a golden opportunity to associate with the “Indian Tigers and Tigresses” initiative through the SFA Championships 2024.

Day 3 of SFA Championships 2024 witnesses thrilling action
The third day of the SFA Championships in Hyderabad witnessed an enthralling display of talent across multiple venues and sports disciplines. Athletes from Pallavi Model School and Boduppal dominated the proceedings and made an early mark on the leaderboard.
At the Sri Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy Stadium, Yousufguda, the boys’ U-13 singles badminton competition witnessed intense action in Rounds 1, 2, and 3. Meanwhile, excitement went through the roof at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium as the U-16 girls’ football quarter-finals showcased thrilling matches in a battle for the semi-final spots.
In traditional Yogasana, Samanvi Chaladi from Canary The School, Miyapur, won gold in the girls’ U-10 category while Yeshwanth Reddy from Pallavi Model School, Boduppal, claimed the top podium spot in the boys’ U-14 category,
The atmosphere at the Gachibowli Stadium was electrifying as youngsters produced exhilarating performances across multiple sports, including Kho Kho, Tennis, Throwball, and Basketball.
Through these Championships, Sports For All (SFA) aims to professionalise, organise, and monetise grassroots sports and create a culture that values and invests in sports nationwide. This year’s Hyderabad edition of the SFA Championships features over 23,000 athletes from 920 schools, competing across 17 sports.
