Inter Miami defeated the Philadelphia Union by 3-1 to keep themselves at the top of the MLS points table and Messi is inching closer to a Golden Boot finish after scoring two goals. His total goal count in the MLS is at 14. Messi’s return to football is also a huge boost for Argentina as they are scheduled to face Venezuela and Bolivia in early October in the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers.
