Stocks in news today: Reliance Infrastructure, HDFC, Vedanta and more

New Delhi: The shares of Reliance Infrastructure, HDFC Bank, Prestige Estates Projects, Vedanta, and Kotak Mahindra Bank are expected to remain in news on October 21, 2024 (Monday).

Reliance Infrastructure share price

Shareholders of Reliance Infrastructure have given the green signal to the company’s plan proposal to raise Rs 6,000 crore through preferential issue of shares and qualified institutional placement (QIP) route. The Anil Ambani-headed company informed in the stock exchanges that both its proposals got a nod from the shareholders, with over 98 per cent voting in favour of the resolutions via postal ballot.

In the first phase, Reliance Infrastructure has planned to launch Rs 3,014 crore preferential placement by issuing 12.56 crore equity shares or convertible warrants at an issue price of Rs 240 per share.

Prestige Estates Projects share price

Prestige Estates Projects Ltd has announced that it will invest around Rs 7,000 crore to develop a township in Delhi-NCR region, Ghaziabad. Currently, the Bengaluru-based real estate firm is building a commercial project at Aerocity in Delhi. It has entered the Delhi-NCR housing market by acquiring three land parcels in Delhi, Noida and Siddharth Vihar, Ghaziabad.

Kotak Mahindra Bank share price

In its Q2 Results 2024-25, Kotak Mahindra Bank recorded a 13 per cent growth in profit to Rs 5,044 crore. On a standalone basis, the bank’s net profit increased 5 per cent to Rs 3,344 crore. In its second quarter of the current financial year, the core net interest income jumped 11 per cent at Rs 7,020 crore for the bank on the back of a 17 per cent growth in advances and a 0.31 per cent narrowing in the net interest margin at 4.91 per cent.

HDFC Bank share price

HDFC Bank declared its Q2 Results of 2024-25 and reported a 6 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 17,825.91 crore on a consolidated basis. The bank mentioned that its post-tax net grew to Rs 16,820.97 crore standalone basis, as against Rs 15,976.11 crore in the year-ago period. The country’s largest private sector bank’s core net interest income surged 10 per cent to Rs 30,010 crore on the back of a 7 per cent increase in gross advances and the margins being stable at 3.46 per cent.

Vedanta share price

Vedanta announced to invest more than Rs 1 lakh crore in Rajasthan across different business verticals. The Anil Agarwal-lead company informed that Hindustan Zinc will pump in Rs 30,000 crore to double zinc capacity. Cairn Oil & Gas, another subsidiary of Vedanta Ltd, will invest Rs 35,000 crore to augment capacity to 3 lakh barrels per day. The company further stated that Serentica Renewables will invest Rs 50,000 crore to develop 10,000 MW renewable power capacity.
