New Delhi: Pakistan ODI skipper Mohammad Rizwan was involved in a light moment with spinner Adam Zampa during the second ODI match between Australia and Pakistan at the Adelaide Oval on Friday, November 8. Both players were involved in a conversation that was caught on the stump mic.
In the 34th over of Australia’s innings, Pacer Naseen Shah bowled a bouncer to Adam Zampa. He tried to pull it for a boundary but missed the ball completely. Rizwan appealed for a caught-behind but the on-field umpire did not move.
After discussing with the bowler, Rizwan hilariously asked Zampa whether he had edged it or not. The Australian spinner asked the Pakistan ODI skipper to take the review and Rizwan opted for it. But the ball was too far away from the bat and there was no movement on Ultra-Edge. Zampa smiled at Pakistan’s captain after his team lost the review.

Haris Rauf’s fifer helps Pakistan to restrict Australia at 163
Australia bundled out for 163 runs in the 35 overs at the Adelaide Oval. The visitors were looking for a comeback in the series after losing the first ODI by 2 wickets. Openers Mathew Short (19 runs) and Jake Fraser-McGurk (13 runs) failed to give Australia a good start.
Shaheen Afridi gave Pakistan their first breakthrough in the third over by removing Fraser-McGurk. Steve Smith scored 35 runs off 48 balls and was the highest run-scorer. Apart from him, no other Australian player was able to cross the 20-run mark.
Haris Rauf was the star performer for Pakistan, taking five wickets in eight overs. Shaheen Afridi also picked up three wickets while Naseem Shah and Hasnain also took one wicket each. The Aussies struggled to build a partnership, with top-order batters failing to convert their starts into big scores. Pakistan need 164 runs to level the three-match ODI series. The last and final ODI of the series will be played on November 10 in Perth.
