New Delhi: Investment guru Mark Mobius, who has maintained a bullish stance on the prospects of the Indian economy, said on Tuesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi deserves a Nobel Peace Prize. Mobius praised PM Modi for his ability to engage with all sides and for his potential to play a peacemaker in major conflicts of our times: From the Russia-Ukraine War to the Israel-Palestine conflict.
Why PM Modi should receive Nobel Peace Prize
In an interview with news agency IANS, Mobius said PM Modi was capable of conducting dialogues across the global political spectrum. Key factors that make PM Modi a befitting candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize include India’s neutral stance on major geopolitical conflicts as well as the Indian prime minister’s advocacy of a peaceful resolution to these tensions.

PM Modi showed intent to resolve the Russia-Ukraine War by becoming the first Indian PM to visit Ukraine since 1992, added Mobius. Mobius called PM Modi “capable of almost anything.” This is not the first time that Mobius has been bullish on Modi and the prospects of India under its three-term Prime Minister.

In an earlier interview with News9, Mobius praised PM Modi for doing a good job of digitalising the economy. Mark Mobius is the chairman of the Mobius Emerging Opportunities Fund. Calling PM Modi a “very important peacemaker”, Mobius said he believes that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s international stature is only set to grow owing to his ability to hold a dialogue across the global political spectrum.
He said he shares PM Modi’s attitude towards life such that both of them prefer to look forward instead of looking backwards. Like PM Modi, Mobius said he chose to be more optimistic about global occurrences.
