Trump’s Second-Term Choices for Top Roles Put Younger Generation on Spotlight

Washington: US President-elect Donald Trump who is set to return to the White House officially in January 2025, has started picking up his teammates for his administration.

To fill the key roles in his upcoming administration, Trump is tapping loyal allies and prominent supporters from his 2024 campaign. The common thread among many of the Trump’s picks for White House job is that they are Millennials.

The selection of people for Trump 2.0 administration reflects that Trump is making sure that the torch is being passed down to a younger generation.

The top picks for the White House job include, Vivek Ramaswamy is (39), Elise Stefanik (40), JD Vance (40), Matt Gaetz (42) and Tulsi Gabbard (43).

Here’s a look at some of his selections:

Vivek Ramaswamy- Department of Govt Efficiency  

Former presidential contender and Indian-origin entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy has been appointed to co-lead the newly created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Trump emphasized in a statement that Ramaswamy along with Tesla CEO Elon Musk would work to streamline the federal government, cut down on waste, and eliminate unnecessary regulations. He described Musk as “the Great Elon Musk” and Ramaswamy as an “American Patriot,” underlining their shared mission to implement sweeping bureaucratic reforms.

Elise Stefanik – United Nations Ambassador New York Representative Elise Stefanik, a vocal Trump supporter, has been tapped to represent the US at the United Nations. Stefanik’s elevation in GOP leadership and her advocacy on issues like antisemitism have boosted her profile. She will be tasked with handling pressing global conflicts, including those involving Ukraine and Israel.
