New Delhi: The UEFA Nations League has resumed, with big teams clashing and trying to reach the playoffs or avoid relegation in the tournament. Yesterday’s big game saw England win over Greece at Athens, and they now top the Group B league. The France and Israel game had gotten a lot of attention due to clashes between Israeli and Dutch club fans in Amsterdam. The game ended in a goalless stalemate.
Italy’s 0-1 win over Belgium means they are now through to the knockout stages of the tournament. Ireland’s 1-0 win over Finland means they have now clinched a spot in the promotion/relegation playoffs. As matchday five continues today, big clashes continue with a lot at stake.

The biggest game of today will see Portugal host Poland in Estadio do Drago stadium. Portugal had a perfect win record until matchday four. However, in their last game Scotland held off the Selcao side. To qualify for the knockout stage, the winners of the inaugural edition of the Nations League just need one point.
Poland are placed in third place with two losses and one win from their four games. Their Euro 2024 campaign was a disaster after they failed to win a single game in the tournament and managed just one draw against France. A loss against them will see them eliminated, whilst a single point could help them reach second place.

Denmark are placed second in Group four of A league, having won twice, and losing once. They are three points behind group leaders Spain and three points clear of Serbia. Their performance this season has been impressive. In the goal-fest that have been every win of Spain in the competition, Denmark managed to restrict them to a single goal win. In the Euros 2024, Denmark had a decent outing, crashing out to hosts Germany in the round of 16.
The defending Nations League champions and Euro 2024 champions Spain have been undefeated in the tournament and have already qualified for the final eight spot. La Roja have been undefeated in all competitive match since Euro 2024 qualifier against Scotland in March 2023 and have been unbeaten since a loss to Colombia in friendlies.
