New Delhi: As Manchester United enter into an all new era with incoming manager Ruben Amorim, Ruud van Nistelrooy departed the side with an emotional farewell message after serving a short period as an interim manager of the side. After Erik ten Hag’s sacking, Nistelrooy briefly took over the role of the manager at Old Trafford.
In July this year, Van Nistelrooy joined the side as the club’s assistant coach. As United’s manager, the team remained undefeated under the Dutchman, with three wins and one draw in the competition. Nistelrooy’s last assignment with the Red Devils was against Leicester City, which the side won 3-0.
The former PSV Eindhoven manager had voiced his wish to remain at Old Trafford with Amorim. Van Nistelrooy’s contract was signed for two year, however, United issued a statement this Monday, where they confirmed the 48-year-old’s exclusion from the new coaching set-up.

Van Nistelrooy had been a star striker for United, and posting a farewell note on his social media; he mentioned that the club always remained in a “special place” in his heart. The former Real Madrid striker also expressed his gratitude to every staff member in the backroom for their “efforts and support.” He concluded that it was a pleasure to have been with the club both as a player and manager.
United’s next manager, Amorim, is coming to the side after a fantastic spell at Sporting Lisbon. The 39-year-old will officially take charge of the side after the ongoing international break when Man United faces a struggling Ipswich Town on November 24th. United are currently ranked 13th and are just four points away from entering the top four.
After Manchester United announced that Ruud van Nistelrooy won’t be part of their new coaching staff, the Dutchman pens an emotional farewell to Old Trafford. Football Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
