Los Angeles: In a spine-chilling incident, an LA man who called 911 for help was fatally shot by a cop. The tragic event unfolded when Brandon Durham called 911 to report a possible home invasion. At the time, Durham was with his 15-year-old daughter.
After the call, three police officers arrived at the scene. One officer noticed a damaged door and entered the house. Inside, the officer saw Durham struggling with a suspect over a knife near the door of a room.
The officer immediately fired a shot, hitting Durham in the head and causing him to collapse. Shockingly, the officer then rushed to Durham’s limp body and fired five more rounds.
CCTV footage of the incident has since gone viral. Despite emergency efforts to save Durham’s life, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the encounter, police identified Durham as the homeowner and confirmed he had called 911 for help after struggling to fend off a woman who had broken into his home.
The intruder, Alejandra Boudreaux, was arrested and charged with home invasion, assault with a deadly weapon, child abuse, and domestic violence. Remarkably, she remained unharmed during the incident.
Durham’s 15-year-old daughter spoke to a leading media outlet, expressing her grief and outrage at the police’s actions.
“The violence that occurred here was under someone who was extremely, extremely angry and violent. And I am disgusted with how the Metropolitan Police told my father, after killing him, to ‘stay down.’ They treated him like he was the suspect in the situation when he was the victim. I’m disgusted that the Metropolitan Police have left me to live fatherless for the rest of my life,” she said.
