New Delhi: Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani stated Adani Green Energy will produce 50 GW of energy by Fy30, compared to the earlier target of 45 GW. In FY24, Adani Green added 2.8 GW capacity. He added that the clean energy capacity in Khavda is likely to reach 30 GW in the next 5 years.
Khavda is one of the toughest deserts and houses the world’s largest green energy installation, said Gautam Adani. Energy output from Khavda in 5 years is likely to be ample to power Belgium and Switzerland, said the Adani Group chairman.
Adani airports business
The company-operated airports witnessed double-digit passenger traffic growth to 88.6 million in FY24. Gautam Adani also praised the government’s emphasis on infrastructure by raising funding to Rs 11 lakh crore, up 16 per cent for FY25. He praised India’s macro stability and ambitious growth plans, addign that these factors inspire the group’s confidence. “India is now the force for stability, cooperation and progress in a complex world,” said Adani.
Adani Group’s plans for Dharavi
The Dharavi skum area, whose redevlopment contract was awarded to Adani Group, is set to be transformed into the world’s largest redevelopment project in 10 years, said Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani.
“It will provide dignity of living to a million people,” he added.
Adani Group’s Hindenburg moment
Gautam Adani said the headwinds from the Hindenburg Research controversy made the group stronger while testing it. Citing rating agency forecasts, Adani said that the group had displayed operational excellence and transparency. He reiterated the Supreme Court’s verdict to state that Adani Group’s stance was vindicated against Hindenburg Research’s short-seller attack.
Gautam Adani cited the group’s 3 core values of courage, trust and commitment to dd that the company staved off the short seller attack by pooling in liquidity worth Rs 40,000 crore. He cited values of perseverance learned from his mother to survive adversities in Banaskantha as attributes that defined his success and his ability to stand firm in the face of adversity.
