New Delhi: Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani and Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani are projected to become trillionaires by 2028 and 2033 respectively, Informa Connect Academy report stated.
The report mentioned that Gautam Adani can become the second trillionaire in the world if his conglomerate registered growth at the current 123 per cent average annual rate. Currently, Adani is ranked 13th on the world billionaire index with a wealth of just under USD 100 billion.
Mukesh Ambani, who is Asia’s richest person, with a staggering wealth of USD 111 billion, is projected to become a trillionaire in 2033, the report said.
Reliance Industries, which is engaged in the businesses of oil, telecom, retail and others is predicted to hit trillion-dollar market cap status in 2035. Notably, Ambani-headed Reliance Industries Ltd is the only Indian company expected to hit that mark.
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and rocket manufacturer SpaceX, is projected to become the world’s first trillionaire by 2027, Informa Connect Academy report said. Elon Musk is the richest in the world with USD 237 billion net worth. If Musk has to become the world’s first trillionaire by 2027, his business needs to appreciate at an average annual growth rate of 110 per cent.
The report said, “No one in the world has claimed trillionaire status – at least not yet. However, there are some likely candidates. The following are multi-billionaires who will probably become trillionaires sooner or later”.
Taiwan’s semiconductor maker TSMC, which has a market capitalisation of USD 893.7 billion, is projected to hit the trillion-dollar market cap in 2025. The report mentioned that Berkshire Hathaway, pharma giant Eli Lilly, Broadcom and electric automobile firm Tesla will closely follow TSMC.
NVIDIA founder Jensen Huang, Indonesia’s Prajogo Pangestu, Bernard Arnault, Bernard Arnault, the French billionaire, and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg are some of them projected to make it to list of trillionaires.
