New Delhi: Indian MMA sensation Angad Bisht will fight DongHun Choi on Saturday, August 24, at the UFC Apex arena in Las Vegas. The fight will be in the flyweight division and Bisht will seek to book his place in the finale.
The Road to UFC season 3 tournament winner will be guaranteed a fight in the UFC Fight Night event and will become part of the UFC. The Road to UFC season 3 started on May 18 and 19 in Shanghai, China. There are 32 fighters are fighting for their maiden UFC ticket across four different weight classes- flyweight, bantamweight, featherweight, and women’s strawweight.
The tournament started with quarter-final matches in China but now the tournament is back again in Las Vegas for semi-final matches. Bisht defeated John Almanza in the quarter-final match via TKO in the first round. While his opponent DongHun Choi defeated Jiniushiyue via split decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29) in the first round.
