New Delhi: World no.1 Aryna Sabalenka defeated No. 8 seed Zheng Qinwen in straight sets in the quarter-final to enter the women’s singles semi-finals at the French Open 2025 on Tuesday, June 03. Sabalenka continued her winning run in the tournament with yet another impressive performance against the no.8 seed Chinese, who was enjoying a great run in Paris.
Sabalenka came from 4-2 down in the first set to beat Qinwen 7-6(3), 6-3 in the quarter-final to reach the second French Open semi-final of her career. Sabalenka, who is searching for her maiden French Open title this year, has never made it past the semi-finals at Rolland Garros in her career.
