New Delhi: Pakistan cricket team captains Babar Azam and Shan Masood will attend a workshop arranged by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday. “The PCB remains optimistic that this session, which builds on prior discussions with former cricketers, will lead to a results-driven strategy that improves both player management and team performance,” the statement further read.

Pakistan cricket team’s slump

Pakistan cricket team has been enduring a tough time on the pitch. The team failed to qualify for the semifinals of the World Cup 2023 last year. In June this year, Pakistan couldn’t progress to the Super 8 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The Babar Azam-led side lost to tournament debutants United States of America (USA) in a Super Over.

To add to the injuries, Pakistan lost two-match Test series 0-2 against Bangladesh at home earlier this month. It was a massive setback as Pakistan hasn’t won a Test series at home since 2022.
