Bank holidays in July 2024: Banks to remain closed for 12 days

New Delhi: According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks will remain closed for 12 days in July on account of regional and national holidays. The bank holiday released by the central bank authority mentions July 3, 6, 8, 9, 16, and 17 as holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act.

The mentioned holidays include regional holidays, state-specific holidays, national holidays, and the second and fourth Saturdays and all Sundays.

July 3, 2024 (Wednesday): Beh Dienkhlam (Meghalaya)

July 6, 2024 (Saturday): MHIP Day (Mizoram) – Mizo Hmeichhe Insuihkhawm Pawl (MHIP Day) is the celebration of Mizoram’s largest women’s organisation.

July 7, 2024 (Sunday): Weekend (All States)

8th July 2024 (Monday): Kang (Rathajatra) – Bank holiday in Manipur

July 9, 2024 (Tuesday): Drukpa Tshe-zi – Bank holiday in Sikkim

13th July 2024: Second Saturday – Bank holiday in all states

July 14, 2024 (Sunday): Bank holiday in all states

16th July 2024: Harela – Bank holiday in Uttarakhand. Harela marks the arrival of the monsoon.

July 21, 2024: Banks across states will observe holiday
