Dhaka: Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus returned to Bangladesh from Paris on Thursday to take oath as the head of the country’s interim government, three days after Sheikh Hasina resigned as the Prime Minister and fled Dhaka following widespread protests against her regime.
As per The Daily Star, Yunus landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 2:15 pm local time.
He was welcomed by Army Chief Waker-Uz-Zaman and key organisers of the anti-discriminatory student movement.
