The Winger had been the club’s standouyt performer through the past few season and won both Player’s Player of the Season and Supporters’s Player of the Season in the 2021. In his 135 appearances for the club, he scored 14 goals after joining the club from Braga back in 2019.
Neto is hopes to make his debut for Chelsea in the Premier League against Manchester City next Sunday. Chelsea have been the busy in the summer transfer window and he is currently their most expensive buy this season. The Blues had previously rejected two bids by Wolves before settling last Friday. Chelsea will initially pay £51.3m for Neto with £2.6m of add-ons.

Chelsea have announced that Neto will be joining Enzo Marseca’s squad soon in training. The team have only registered a single win the pre-season which came against Inter Milan. Neto’s arrival will hopefully boost some confidence in the side with Maresca believing that the Portuguese Winger’s versatility and “one-on-one” encounter will give the side a lot of options. With a long season coming up, the Chelsea manager hopes that they can experiment with the team’s tactical aspects.
Despite the reputation of being a brilliant winger, Wolves sporting Director Matt Hobbs has said that the former Braga Winger is prone to injuries and Neto will have to be careful. Hobbs ended saying that the club quill miss the intensity Pedro brings in the pitch and at every training session.
