In the match, Chelsea opened the scoring in the 12th minute when Tosin Adarabioyo headed in Enzo Fernandez’s corner. Almost within seconds following the kick-off, Noah again lost the ball and Marc Guiu made no mistake and added another goal to the scoreboard.

Axel Disasi nodded in a corner from Enzo Fernandez, followed by Fernandez setting up Joao Felix who sprinted forward and delicately chipped the ball past the goalkeeper. Mykhailo Mudryk then delivered the standout goal as he curled a superb shot into the top corner before Felix netted his second via deflection, putting the Blues up 6-0 by halftime.

In the second half, Christopher Nkunku scored the seventh goal for Chelsea from an angle after his initial shot got saved and later on added another through penalty which he slammed down the middle.

With this win, Chelsea secured the top spot in the standings, joining six other teams with perfect records in the competition.

Enzo Maresca on Chelsea’s Record-Setting Win

Chelsea set a new Conference League scoring record but fell short of their club’s best European result, a 13-0 victory over Jeunesse Hautcharage in the 1971 Cup Winners’ Cup. This recent 8-0 win ranks as their joint second-highest European triumph, alongside three other occasions.

When Chelsea was leading 6-0 against Noah by halftime it seemed they were on track for an even bigger score as the Armenian side appeared vulnerable to every attack. Surprisingly, only two more goals were added in the second half.

When asked post-match if he was disappointed not to set a new record, manager Enzo Maresca emphasized professionalism, saying, “You have to be serious. It is never easy. The most important thing is to stay serious and professional, which we needed to show today.”
