Chennai: Tension prevailed in the Chennai airport following on Saturday when the police control room received a call in which the caller mentioned explosives inside the airport. It is to be noted that a few days ago, on June 12, Chennai airport authorities received similar bomb threat calls. Similarly, on June 2, Chennai-Kolkatta Indigo airlines flight received a bomb threat. The threat was sent by mail to Airlines office. After checks, threat declared a hoax.
A few weeks ago, several prominent private schools in the city received a bomb threat email and later it turned out to be a hoax.
